Johpur is known as "The Blue City" due to the Brahman neighborhoods being painted in blue. The blue is an historic color for Brahman homes that most of the city adopted. It is said to keep the mosquitoes at bay and the temperatures cooler.

As I was walking through the city this young girl ran out in front of me and wanted to have her picture made.
